Healthy Methi Paratha Diabetic-Friendly Fenugreek Paratha

Methi paratha is the most common paratha in most of the states of India. It gives us various health benefits like weight management, and it also provides various nutrients and vitamins including vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, and overall health improvement.

So, today we will learn how to make Methi paratha we also call it Methi ka paratha, and fenugreek paratha recipes that even sugar patients can enjoy too without the fear of their blood sugar level.

Methi Paratha Ingredients

  • Chopped Methi leaves1 bowl
  • Chopped coriander (Dhaniya) leaves½ bowl
  • Curd1 bowl
  • Coriander powder1 tbsp
  • Jeera powder½ tbsp

  • Turmeric powder1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder1 tbsp
  • Garlic & green chiliAs required
  • Sesame seeds (Til)1 tbsp
  • Garam masala1 tbsp

Easy Methi Parantha Recipe

Let's start with making spiced Methi paratha:

Mix atta, methi, coriander & curd

First take 2 cups of Diabexy atta. Now add 1 bowl of chopped Methi leaves in it. After adding Methi leaves add ½ bowl of chopped coriander (Dhaniya) and 1 bowl of curd in it.

Add spices

Now mix them properly. After mixing it, add 1 tbsp coriander powder, ½ tbsp jeera powder, and 1 tbsp turmeric powder. Now add 1 tbsp of red chili powder and some garlic & green chili. Then add 1 tbsp sesame seeds (Til), 1 tbsp garam masala, melted desi ghee, and salt as per your taste.

Make the dough

Now mix all the ingredients properly to make a proper mixture. As our mixture is ready now, we will start making dough. In the mixture add a small bowl of warm water and mix them well. After mixing again add a small bowl of warm water to make a soft dough.

We can add 1 tbsp desi ghee to make it a softer dough.

Roll the paratha

Now our dough is ready, to make paratha take a small portion of dough and roll it into a round shape like we used to do while making simple roti. To give it a perfect round shape you can use any round container to cut it properly.

Cook the paratha

Last and the final step to cook it I would recommend you to either use desi ghee or olive oil. Now take a cooking pan and grease it with desi ghee.

When you notice that the ghee is a little bit boiled, now put your roll on the pan and cook it from both sides with desi ghee.

Your healthy Methi paratha is ready to serve!
